Other Ways to Donate

There are many ways to donate to Diabetes SA and help support the cause.

Please consider the following:

1. Donate online today

Donations to Diabetes SA provide vital funds for programs to support people living with diabetes, help detect and prevent diabetes and contribute to research that improves the lives of people living with diabetes or those at risk. You can even donate each month, quarter or year by opting to give regularly.

2. Donate by mail

Would you prefer to post your donation? This donation form can be filled out and posted to us. This will enable you to donate by cheque, credit card or money order. If you would like to donate regularly, a form can be sent to you to complete and return.

3. Donate shares through ShareGift Australia

ShareGift Australia provides shareholders with an easy way to sell their shares and donate the proceeds to charity without engaging a stockbroker. Contact us to find out more.

4. Gifts & Wills – leave a legacy

Leaving a bequest in your will to Diabetes SA creates a legacy that provides support to other people living with diabetes or, if you prefer, contributes to diabetes research.

5. Invite donations in place of gifts for your special occasion

You can make a difference on your birthday or special occasion by asking your family and friends to donate to Diabetes SA in place of gifts. We will inform you of the total amount raised and the names of those who donated, while the individual amounts remain confidential. Contact us to find out more.

6. Donate in memory of a loved one

Honour the memory of a family member or friend who lived with diabetes by making a donation to Diabetes SA. Your gift will contribute to supporting others living with diabetes or to fund research into prevention and early detection, diabetes management, and the identification of new programs and services for people with diabetes.

Diabetes SA can provide donation envelopes for attendees at memorial services to make an in-memoriam donation. Many Funeral Directors already have Diabetes SA envelopes but we will gladly provide more on request. Email [email protected] or call 1300 198 204 to request envelopes.

7. Develop a workplace giving program

Your employer can establish a workplace giving program where tax deductible donations are made from your pay before tax. The donations received by Diabetes SA, big or small from other employees can have a significant impact. Email [email protected] or call 1300 198 204 for more information.

8. Hold your own event to support Diabetes SA

Organising your own event to support Diabetes SA and people affected by diabetes can have a considerable benefit for our organisation and spread the word about diabetes. Email [email protected] or call 1300 198 204.
