Tour Down Under x Diabetes SA
We’re thrilled to be an official partner of the 2027 Santos Tour Down Under, one of Australia’s biggest sporting events, right here in South Australia. This partnership gives us a unique opportunity to connect with the community, raise awareness of diabetes and promote the importance of an active, healthy lifestyle.
Over the past 10 years, the only age group to see growth in diabetes diagnoses was people aged 21–39, with an increase of 44%.
With 88% of The Santos Tour Down Under spectators coming from South Australia and a strong audience of men aged 25–55, the event provides a valuable opportunity for Diabetes SA to connect with this key audience and start conversations about diabetes risk and cardio-metabolic health.
Reaching regional communities and making health conversations more accessible is important, which is why we’re hitting the road with The Santos Tour Down Under. Come and say hello, chat with us about your health, discover ways to understand your diabetes risk, and enjoy some great giveaways and fun, interactive activities along the way.

Help us reduce the impact of diabetes in our community by bringing together 12 adult colleagues, friends or family members to volunteer as a traffic marshal group for a day at the 2027 Santos Tour Down Under! As a traffic marshal, you’ll enjoy a unique race-day experience, get closer to the action and play an essential role in delivering a world-class event (and help reduce the impact of diabetes in your community at the same time).
Did you know The Santos Tour Down Under needs more than 2,000 Traffic Marshal volunteers to help make race day happen? Every volunteer can nominate a charity to receive $50 – $75 per day volunteered and we’d love you to choose Diabetes SA when you register! Better yet, why not get a group together? Rally your friends, family or workmates and volunteer together.
Funds raised will take a diabetes early prevention program to a disadvantaged school and community in South Australia.
If you can’t get a group together, you can still volunteer as an individual. In the registration process make sure to select Diabetes SA as your charity of choice.
