Your Fundraising Can Change Lives

When you fundraise for Diabetes SA, you’re doing more than raising money — you’re offering hope, support, and a brighter future for South Australians living with or at risk of diabetes.

Every dollar you raise helps ensure that no one has to face diabetes alone. Your support funds vital programs, life-changing research, education, and advocacy — all aimed at preventing diabetes, improving care, and ultimately, changing lives.

Together, we can create a future where diabetes is better understood,  better managed and for supporting our community to live their best life!

Turn a celebration into a gift that goes on giving.

Do you have a special occasion coming up?

Instead of gifts to celebrate the occasion, invite your guests to give the gift of a donation.

It’s a special way to support Diabetes SA and all who live with diabetes.

Celebrations are a perfect time to think of those in need.

You can support Diabetes SA and those living with diabetes by requesting donations instead of gifts for your birthday, wedding, anniversary, Christmas or any special occasion.

It’s such a positive way of celebrating that can bring people together while supporting a cause close to your heart.

Simply invite your friends and family to make a donation to Diabetes SA with a ‘Gift in Celebration’.

We’ll provide a tax-deductible receipt and thank you letter to everyone who makes a donation to mark your special occasion. We’ll also notify you by mail of those who donated and the total amount you have helped to raise.

(The individual amounts of each gift won’t be shared unless requested by the gift giver.)

To donate a gift in celebration, simply email fundraising@diabetessa.com.au for further information.

Kindness comes in many forms.

Each year, Diabetes SA organises and participates in a variety of events and campaigns that require goods or services to support these activities.

If you, or someone you know, can assist with donating goods and/or vouchers in kind we would love to hear from you.

Please contact our fundraising team on 1300 198 204 or email fundraising@diabetessa.com.au.

Inspire your community’s passion for changing lives.

For the last 67 years, Diabetes SA has been there for all types of people. Because all types of people are diagnosed with different types of diabetes.

Diabetes affects more people in Australia than any other serious health condition – that’s one person diagnosed every five minutes.

And this is close to home for all of us, because South Australia has the highest incidence of diabetes in the country.

The only way we can continue to support people living with diabetes is with help from the right type of people – like you?

At Diabetes SA, we provide ‘support always’. That means advice, counselling, personal consultation, professional diabetes management, resources and generously discounted diabetes management products. Whenever and however help is needed, we are there for people who need us.

We are there for all South Australians, helping them live well with all types of diabetes but it takes a Special Type to make this commitment.

A Caring Type. A person who is special and wants to help others. Someone who understands diabetes is a lifelong condition, requiring ongoing support. We need you right by our side.

A Big-Hearted Type. Someone who wants to make a difference. All types of people have the right to live well with diabetes. This condition can have a significant impact on self-esteem, mental health and daily life. We would be grateful if you made the decision to offer your help, so South Australians can live life to the full.

A Future-Focused Type. The type of person who wants to invest in research. The only way we can find the answers we need about diabetes is through research – but this takes time and money. With your support Diabetes SA will invest more money in critical scientific research, right here in our home state.

As a regular supporter, you’ll be there alongside our dedicated team, making a real impact for so many South Australians. Will you be our type of South Aussie?
