Could your artwork be featured in the Diabetes SA 2027 Calendar?

We’re inviting children aged 4–15 years to get creative and show us what ‘Healthy Habits, Happy Life’ means to them.

Whether it’s playing your favourite sport, riding your bike, enjoying colourful fruit and vegetables, cooking or grocery shopping with your family, spending time outdoors, or anything else that helps you live a happy, healthy life—we’d love to see your masterpiece!

A selection of the art will be featured in the Diabetes SA 2027 Calendar, with one outstanding artwork selected for the calendar cover.

Entries close 15 October 2026.

Competition Overview
We’re inviting children aged 4–12 years to get creative and show us what ‘Healthy Habits, Happy Life’ means to them.

Who Can Enter?
Children aged 4–15 years.

How to Enter
Submit:

• One A4 artwork (portrait orientation preferred)
• Child’s first name and age
• Parent/guardian contact details
• A short sentence (20–50 words) explaining the drawing

Artwork can be:

• Coloured pencils
• Paint
• Markers
• Crayons
• Mixed media
  (No digital artwork.)

Judging Criteria

Entries will be judged on:

• Creativity
• Originality
• Interpretation of the theme
• Colour and visual appeal
• Story behind the artwork

Artistic ability is not the most important factor—we’re looking for imagination and heart.

The selected artworks will feature in the official Diabetes SA 2027 Calendar, with each winning artist receiving a copy and being recognised for their contribution.

Terms & Conditions (Summary)

• One entry per child.
• Parent or guardian must submit the entry in person at 159 Sir Donald Bradman Dr, Hilton or scan and email to marketing@diabetessa.com.au.
• Artwork must be the child’s original work.
• Diabetes SA may reproduce submitted artwork in the calendar, promotional material, website and social media.
• Copyright remains with the artist; entrants grant Diabetes SA a non-exclusive licence to use the artwork for promotional purposes.
• Winning artwork may be adjusted slightly for printing (cropping or colour correction only).
• Entries cannot be returned unless prior arrangements are made.
