Roche Diabetes Care have identified that   Accu-Chek Aviva test strips, from LOT number 498287 only, may have a dosing issue.

Consumers are advised to:

  1. Please check if you have Accu-Chek® Aviva test strips from an impacted lot. You can find the lot number and catalogue number on the label of each test strip vial, as shown in the photo. Please note that the lot number on this photo is for illustration purposes ONLY and NOT impacted by this recall.
  2. If you have the impacted lot number, please discontinue using the strips from the impacted lot.
  3. Please go to www.accu-chek.com.au to find out whether your product is impacted, and to receive replacement product if relevant. Alternatively call Roche Diabetes Care Enquiry line at 1800 800 535 to obtain further support.

Consumers and healthcare professionals are advised that Roche Diabetes Care Australia, in consultation with the TGA, is undertaking a product defect correction for Accu-Chek Guide (with serial numbers below 92911000001 only) and Accu-Chek Performa blood glucose meters (with serial numbers between 68920000000 and 68925525056 only).

Accu-Chek Guide and Accu-Chek Performa blood glucose meters are used by people with diabetes to monitor their blood glucose (also known as blood sugar) levels. These meters are supplied individually and also in a meter kit. Please visit www.accu-chek.com.au for more information.
