Marketing & Communications Officer

Jana is the Marketing & Communications Officer, providing marketing and communication support to the Health Services, Fundraising, Membership, Retail and Customer Services Teams. Her diverse role includes content creation and campaign planning, managing social media channels, creating publications and newsletters, assisting with fundraising campaigns, and updating website content.

Jana brings over 15 years of experience from various marketing roles covering marketing, strategy, business development and market research projects. Her recent education achievements include Behavioural Economics and Behavioural Science for Brands by Cannes Lions The School (Ogilvy Consulting) and Social Change: How Can Marketing Help? by Griffith University. Jana's passion is improving the design and implementation of evidence-based practice to achieve successful behaviour change interventions.

After relocating from London to Adelaide, Jana volunteered for a local community club, helped create content for a community TV channel, all while managing social media channels and online communications for her clients. Passionate about community and digital media, Jana says that working for Diabetes SA has been full of eye-opening moments, especially when raising awareness about the different types of diabetes. Sharing members stories and experiences, Jana learnt that: “Diabetes doesn’t define who you are” and “Knowledge IS power”.

Jana spends most evenings studying short online courses and monitoring trends in marketing, health promotion, strategic thinking, innovation and social change.
