Aim of the Scheme

The NDSS aims to enhance the capacity of people with diabetes to understand and manage their life with diabetes and to ensure they have timely, reliable and affordable access to the supplies and services they require to effectively self-manage their diabetes.

Delivery of the Scheme

Diabetes Australia has established a network of state-based Agents to assist in the delivery of the NDSS.

An Agent may appoint Access Points, which are usually pharmacies, to perform a number of functions and responsibilities under the Scheme.
