Awareness CampaignsWith the onset of diabetes at epidemic proportions, Diabetes SA is committed to developing awareness campaigns for the prevention and management of diabetes. Our aim over the coming years will to build on these campaigns and focus on key areas, building greater awareness in the community. National Diabetes Week 14 – 20 July 2013In 2013, Diabetes SA will be working to raise awareness about diabetes and emotional well-being. The aim is to bring attention to the fact that emotional well-being is an essential part of living a healthy life and managing diabetes. The key messages are:

Diabetes Week EventsDiabetes SA will be recognising National Diabetes Week with a seminar for its members focusing on diabetes and emotional well-being on Saturday 13 July 2013. In addition, various public spaces will be visited to raise awareness of diabetes. People will be encouraged to take the 'Risk Test' to determine whether they are at risk of developing type 2 diabetes.
