What is Clothing Collections?
If you find yourself cleaning out cupboards, wardrobes or sheds and are left with items that are too good to throw away, why not contact Diabetes SA!
Diabetes SA launched their Clothing Collections service at the end of last year which facilitates the collection of pre-loved clothing and small household goods. Our distinctive yellow and blue Diabetes SA trucks will be making their way around metropolitan Adelaide collecting items from households.
We can also receive donations at Diabetes SA, located at Hilton. It is as easy as bringing your bag to our warehouse between 9am and 3pm, Monday to Friday. Ring the bell for assistance and our attendant will help you with your donation.
Bag Drop - 2010
Diabetes SA are utilising a targeted bag drop approach, which compliments our exisiting Collection service. When we are in your local area a blue bag will be dropped into your letterbox which you can fill and leave out for us to collect along with any other donations you may have. In this case, you do not need to contact us as a flyer attached to the bag will detail the specific day we will be back to collect your donation.
We have received great support so far on our bag drop campaign and hope you could assist us with a few things:
1. Please leave your bag in a position where it can be seen from the road otherwise we may miss your bag.
2. Please tie up your bags as it will save our drivers a little time when loading them into the truck.
3. Do not overpack bags as they may split when our drivers pick them up. Feel free to leave out a extra garbage bag or similar and we will collect at the same time as the blue bag.
All of the above help ensure we pick up every donation on time.
Sometimes our drivers are overwhelmed with donations, so if we miss you on the day we told you we would be there do not worry, we will recommence your area first thing the following morning.
We look forward to seeing you in your area soon!
